A private analytics tool that assembles a weekly performance report for a single YouTube channel.
GolfProConnor Reporting is a personal-use tool built and operated by Connor Black, the owner of the YouTube channel @golfproconnor. It exists for one purpose: to automatically collect that channel's own analytics each day and compile them into a weekly written performance review.
It runs on a schedule with no one present. Once each day it requests the channel's analytics reports from YouTube, writes the figures into a private Google Sheet, and stops. Once each week those figures are summarised into a report covering how recent videos performed and what to publish next.
The metrics needed for the report are not available in bulk from the YouTube Studio interface in any automated form, so the tool reads them directly through Google's YouTube Analytics and YouTube Reporting APIs. Specifically it retrieves, for the channel's own videos only:
These are read-only requests. The tool never uploads, edits, deletes, or publishes anything, and never posts on the channel's behalf.
Nobody else. This application serves exactly one user — the channel's owner — reading exactly one channel's own data. It is not a product, it is not offered to the public, there is no sign-up, and it has no other users. Its only audience is the person who built it.
Into a single private Google Sheet inside the channel owner's own Google Drive, and nowhere else. No third party receives it, no analytics or advertising service is involved, and nothing is sold, shared, or transferred. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
